She is here!

Family and Friends, Gabriela Zia is here! She was born last Tuesday the 10th of November at 1:37 AM!

On Monday at 4 am, Abi broke waters and after having a rest, we decided to call our doctor, who told us to go to the clinic to start the process. At 9 am we arrived at the clinic and at 11 am they moved us to the room where we were going to have the birth, a very spacious room that we decorated to make the most of the labour. At that moment, the nurses put a very small amount of oxytocin to produce contractions and dilation.

After 12 hours Abi was only 1 cm dilated and because she broke waters earlier in the day, and the dilation process was too slow we decided, by recommendation of our doctor to go for a planned c-section at midnight.

It was not what we expected, but straight away after the birth, we could see the reason why: The doctor told us that Gabriela had twisted her head in Abi's pelvis and that was why the dilation was so slow.

We are so happy to be healthy, feel the protection from God and be so loved and supported by all of you.

We have so much to share but first we haven´t slept very well for normal reasons and Second we want to share with you what God taught us in all of this, but that will be on another blog. At the moment we will leave you with some photos...
