What do hot dogs, whatsapp and Sending Latinos to missions have in Common?

This July i had the opportunity to visit Diana, in Ibague, her home, a city 4 Hour away from Bogotá in a bus.

Let me introduce you to Diana Andrade.

It has been 3 years ago when i met Diana. She has been a authentic follower of Jesus for many years, but 3 years ago she decided to step into another adventure. She decided to go to Perú, with Latin Link, to serve among people with disabilities through a church program. The idea is go and teach them pastry and baking skills to be able to set up a bakery shop and receive some income in Arequipa.

We did the arrangements, in Arequipa, the ministry got an oven with the size and the characteristics required. The team of Latin Link in Peru sent a budget and we started to work towards got the 100% of the economic support for Her to go.

But it hasn´t been easy for her. For the last 3 years she has been praying, preaching, showing her project, explaining to pastors and leaders, to relatives and friends, why she wants to go there and trying to raise the savings to do it.

After 3 years she still in Colombia, but she is not surrendering! She still with hope and trusting in God that He is control. He is a good provider and ,as He promised, He will keep His word!

In this culture of immediacy, fast food, express transport, super fast big broad band internet connections and instant social media communication, we got impatient really quickly and we expect for everything to go in the speed that we expect and in the way that we expect. BUT sometimes God has another plans. Sometimes God´s style is more chill. He wants to spend time with us, but good time, quality time. Sometimes He choose not rush. A time when we can tell Him without rushing, our deepest worries, for Him to love us and dissipate them. To share with Him our biggest desires, for Him to shape them. Our dreams for Him to use them and our wounds for Him to heal them, and Diana is a testimony of that. God has been using this 3 years to do that with her and we had been able to see it!

Please pray for her as she continuous raising her support for her trip of one year to Arequipa, Perú.
